By car

Take the Merano-Bolzano (MEBO) expressway, exit at Merano Sud and drive towards Lana. The entrance to the valley station of the San Vigilio Cable Car is 100 m further, on the right-hand side.

By bus and train

The Lana bus station lies in close proximity to the valley station of the cable car. It is well-connected to public transport, with good connections to the stations at Marlengo, Merano and Lana/Posta.

Getting to San Vigilio with the South Tyrol Mobilcard

BusCard Merano and Environs

The BusCard is valid for all buses in Merano and the surrounding area. The card is valid for 7 days from the day of first use and can be purchased at all tourist offices in the holiday region of Meraner Land. Prices, timetables and further information can be found here.
The BusCard is not valid for the lifts in San Vigilio.

South Tyrol Mobilcard

The Mobilcard allows for unlimited travel on all public transport in South Tyrol. This includes the regional trains in South Tyrol (Brenner – Trento as well as Mals – Innichen), all local buses (city and intercity lines), the cable cars to Renon, Meransen, Jenensien, Mölten and Vöran, the Renon railway, the Mendel Cable Car as well as return journeys with the PostAuto Switzerland Ltd between Mals and Zernez. The Mobilcard is available from all South Tyrol transport ticket offices, the various tourist offices and at the ticket machines in all regional stations. 1, 3 or 7 Day passes are available.
